How school records, private media and transport access are handled in Dina.

School and role boundaries
Backend permissions check school membership and the requested action. Parents and guardians receive access through their child connections. School owners and staff do not gain access to another school’s records through a shared family.
Private media and staff information
Attendance photos, Moments and staff records have different authorized audiences. Private media uses authorized reads or scoped, expiring delivery links. Staff bank details and private documents are restricted to the staff member and people explicitly granted the relevant permission. A photo is not facial recognition.
Transport access ends
After boarding, a guardian sees the authorized adult transport device’s location for their child’s active journey. Access ends on that child’s arrival, journey closure or applicable access expiry. Raw positions become eligible for cleanup 24 hours after a journey ends; this is not a continuous location archive.
Evidence and corrections
Attendance corrections preserve original events and an audit trail. Staff proposed, approved, actual and approved actual hours remain distinct. Manager approval requires permission; ordinary staff cannot approve their own work.
Infrastructure and service providers
Dina is hosted through OpenAI Sites using Cloudflare Workers, D1 and R2. Supabase handles account authentication; configured email uses Resend. Optional LINE connections use LY Corporation’s services, and transport maps use Mapbox. Providers may process information outside Japan. Contact us for a school procurement discussion.
Service operations and contact
Web connections use HTTPS. School deletion has a seven-day recovery period before permanent cleanup begins. Contact the Dina team for security concerns, privacy requests or support. Availability and notification delivery should not replace school emergency or safeguarding procedures.
